I lost my data, What should I do?

If you nave lost data due to any damage in your storage devices, please consider the following advice.

  • DO NOT try to power on your device again, nor try to install or use software to try to recover data. Please remember: No software can recover data from a physically damaged device.
  • Send your equipment ONLY to qualified personnel. A damaged hard drive or any damaged electronic device suffers unpredictable behavior and in many cases failure gets worse progressively. In some cases data recovery becomes impossible after the user or unqualified personnel damages the file system using inadequate software, overwriting the files or causing further physical damage trying to recover data.

 

The process at Kepler

 

1Sending your Device

Complete the Submit a Case Form arrow and attach the shipping label to the box. This information is vital to correctly evaluate and process your case. As soon as your device arrives to our labs, our engineers will diagnose the problem and determine if Data Recovery is feasible. This stage takes just a few hours (depends on the device) and in most cases if free of charge.

 

2 Quotation

Once the problem is evaluated, we will present you a quotation including prices for the service level options available for your case. At this point you can take an informed choice and start the recovery process immediately.

 

 

3 Get your Data Back

After Recovery Process is finished, we will provide a report stating the recovered files through our Jobtrack Case Tracking system. If you are near one of our facilities, you can even check the files in person before paying for the service. If data was recovered succesfully, it will be copied to your device of choice and delivered in the format you prefer. Our Customer Support Department will guide you in order to successfully reinstall your data.
